Principal Engineer, Industrial Automation

REQUIREMENTS:

Total experience: 11+ years

Strong expertise in Siemens WinCC OA, SCADA, and Industrial Automation systems

Hands-on experience with PLC Programming and System Integration (Siemens S7/TIA, Rockwell, Schneider)

Strong knowledge of Industrial Communication Protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)

Experience with WinCC OA scripting, Python, C++, or similar programming languages

Good understanding of OT Networking, redundancy, and high-availability architectures

Knowledge of ISA-88, ISA-95, and OT Cybersecurity (ISA/IEC 62443)

Experience in automation project delivery including FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system validation

Strong customer-facing, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills

Preferred domain experience in Water & Wastewater, Chemicals, Process Industries, or Food & Beverage

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the design and architecture of industrial automation solutions using WinCC OA, SCADA, and PLC platforms

Drive end-to-end project execution from requirements gathering through commissioning

Integrate and support multi-vendor PLC systems and industrial communication networks

Design scalable, secure, and highly available OT system architectures

Develop and review automation applications, scripting, and system integration solutions

Conduct technical design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering and cybersecurity standards

Lead customer workshops, solution discussions, and technical presentations

Troubleshoot complex automation and integration issues across OT environments

Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership

Ensure successful delivery of automation projects meeting quality, reliability, and performance requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fields
