The B2B Marketing team contributes to OpenAI’s broader mission of ensuring responsible and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence. We are responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and usage for OpenAI’s products and platform across SMB, enterprise, and developer audiences.
The SMB Sales team is responsible for helping businesses around the world understand, adopt, and succeed with OpenAI’s products. As OpenAI scales across regions, vendors, and sales motions, we are building the operating systems that ensure our frontline teams can execute with consistency, quality, and speed.
We partner closely with Sales Leadership, Vendor Management, Program Management, Revenue Operations, Finance, Enablement, and vendor leadership to scale high-performing commercial execution across motions including Inbound, Outbound, API Sales, Ads, Channel, and Proactive Account Management.
About the Role
We are hiring a senior Vendor Manager to own regional and site-level performance across OpenAI’s outsourced SMB Sales vendor network.
This is not a traditional vendor relationship management or coordination role. We are looking for a performance operator who has managed large-scale outsourced sales operations before and knows what excellent scaled sales execution looks like. This person will drive performance through vendor partners, inspect quality, improve forecasting, hold vendor leaders accountable, and build repeatable operating mechanisms that scale.
You’ll move quickly between strategy and execution: diagnosing funnel issues, identifying root causes, challenging vendor leadership, creating corrective action plans, and ensuring regional execution meets a high global standard while sharing best practices across regions.
In this role, you will:
- Own regional and site-level vendor performance across assigned regions, vendors, and sales motions
- Drive attainment against revenue, pipeline, productivity, conversion, quality, and forecast accuracy targets
- Inspect funnel health and identifying whether performance issues are driven by quality, speed, routing, enablement, staffing, tooling, or execution
- Run high-quality WBRs, MBRs, QBRs, scorecards, governance forums, and corrective action plans with vendor partners
- Hold vendor leadership accountable for frontline management, coaching, staffing, execution discipline, and measurable improvement
- Ensure regional adoption of global standards, playbooks, QA frameworks, process expectations, and readiness requirements
- Monitor new-hire ramp quality, certification outcomes, productivity curves, and vendor capacity against business needs
- Translate performance signals into clear business narratives for Sales leadership, RevOps, Finance, Enablement, Program Management, and other internal stakeholders
