About the Team

Paytm is building a full stack AI platform focused on Inference and Agents, enabling large

enterprises to deploy AI driven automation across sales, service, operations, and analytics.

The Inference and Agentic AI team operates as a cross functional unit spanning engineering,

product, data science, business management, and sales, and owns the full lifecycle of AI

solutions from opportunity discovery to deployment and scale.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst in the Business Management team who can

independently drive insights that influence business performance and product decisions. This

role requires strong analytical depth, a clear business mindset, and the ability to understand

customer behavior across the product lifecycle.

You will work closely with Product, Business, Growth, and Leadership teams to convert data into

actionable intelligence, going beyond dashboards to answer why things are happening and what

should be don

Key Responsibilities

1. Own and drive business and product insights across merchant acquisition, activation

engagement, retention, winback and monetization.

2. Partner with Product and Business teams to define, track, and evolve key metrics and

north-star KPIs.

3. Perform deep-dive analyses on merchant behavior, funnels, cohorts, and feature usage

to identify growth and efficiency levers.

4. Build and maintain dashboards, MIS, and self-serve reports that serve as a reliable

source of truth.

5. Support experimentation and A/B testing by defining success metrics and analyzing

outcomes.

6. Proactively surface risks, anomalies, and opportunities using data-backed narratives.

7. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Product teams to improve data quality, tracking,

and analytical readiness.

8. Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

1. Experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics, preferably in product-led or consumer

internet / fintech organizations.

2. Strong hands-on experience with SQL (mandatory); ability to work with large and

complex datasets.

3. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.

4. Solid understanding of product and business metrics, funnels, cohorts, and lifecycle

analytics.

5. Proven ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and deliver end-to-end

insights.

6. Strong communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders.

Good to Have

1. Working knowledge of Python / R for advanced analysis.

2. Exposure to A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.

3. Domain exposure to AI Agents or FinTech,
