About the Role: Paytm Money is looking for a strategic and growth-driven Business Head – Mutual Funds & NFO to lead one of the most critical charters within our wealth business. This role will own the complete Mutual Fund and New Fund Offer (NFO) business, including business strategy, product growth, partnerships, customer acquisition, revenue acceleration, platform innovation, and market expansion. The ideal leader will bring deep expertise in mutual fund distribution, passive and active investment products, investor behavior, AMC partnerships, and digital wealth ecosystems, while building a scalable business that democratizes investing for millions of Indians. This is not just a distribution leadership role. It is an opportunity to define the next phase of retail investing by building India’s most intelligent, accessible, and high-growth MF platform.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Ownership & P&L Leadership
* Own end-to-end P&L for the Mutual Funds and NFO business
* Define annual and long-term growth strategy
* Drive topline growth, profitability, customer expansion, and AUM scale
* Build category growth roadmap across: Equity Mutual Funds, Debt Funds, Hybrid Funds, Index Funds, ETFs, International Funds, Thematic / Sectoral Funds
2. NFO Strategy & Execution
* Lead the complete NFO business charter
* Identify high-potential fund launches and build GTM strategy
* Drive subscription volumes across marquee NFO launches
* Partner with AMCs for exclusive campaigns and launches
* Build strong investor education and conversion funnels around NFO participation
3. Growth & Customer Acquisition
* Drive MF investor acquisition at scale
* Improve SIP activation, repeat investment behavior, and retention
* Design high-conversion journeys for: First-time investors, Passive investors, Existing equity users cross-selling into MF
* Build lifecycle programs to improve customer stickiness
4. Product & Platform Innovation
* Partner closely with Product and Engineering to build category-leading investment experiences including: SIP innovation, Goal-based investing journeys, Fund recommendation engines, Portfolio insights, Smart asset allocation tools, Risk profiling frameworks & MF comparison and discovery experience
5. AMC & Ecosystem Partnerships
* Build and strengthen strategic relationships with: Leading Asset Management Companies, Registrar & Transfer Agents, Market infrastructure partners, Distribution ecosystem stakeholders, Drive commercial partnerships, co-marketing opportunities, and exclusive launches.
6. Analytics & Business Intelligence
* Own metrics across: AUM growth, SIP book expa
