About the Role
We are seeking an experienced APAC Content Lead to shape how OpenAI shows up through content across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a senior regional role for a content strategist and editorial leader who can translate global priorities into locally resonant narratives, build a high-quality content operating model, and help audiences across APAC understand OpenAI's products, stories, and impact with clarity and trust.
The role spans content strategy, editorial planning, storytelling, launch and campaign support, regional proof points, and cross-functional partnership. The ideal candidate combines strong writing and editorial judgment with the ability to build systems, influence senior stakeholders, and operate across diverse markets and audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead APAC content strategy across priority audiences, markets, campaigns, launches, and regional moments.
- Build an editorial roadmap that connects global marketing priorities with APAC opportunities and content gaps.
- Develop and shape high-quality content including stories, narratives, campaign assets, event content, educational materials, customer and builder proof points, and executive-facing materials.
- Partner with global content, Product Marketing, Comms, Global Affairs, Brand, Creative, and regional marketing teams to ensure content is accurate, distinctive, and regionally relevant.
- Create repeatable processes for intake, prioritization, review, localization, production, and performance measurement.
- Identify and elevate compelling APAC stories from customers, developers, startups, partners, and communities.
- Advise regional stakeholders on audience needs, content formats, editorial trade-offs, and opportunities to improve resonance and leverage.
- Manage external agencies, freelancers, localization partners, and production resources where needed.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, brand storytelling, integrated marketing, or a related discipline.
- Experience owning content strategy for a region, business line, or complex portfolio in technology or another fast-moving category.
- Exceptional editorial judgment and communication skills, with a track record of improving both narratives and execution quality.
- Demonstrated ability to translate global strategy into effective regional content across diverse audiences or markets.
- Strong cross-functional experience with marketing, communications, product, creative, and senior business stakeholders.
