Member of Technical Staff - Firmware Engineer
Everpure
About the role
We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.
This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE
As a Manufacturing Firmware Developer, you will ensure the production readiness of our revolutionary DirectFlash® Module (DFM) by bridging the gap between design and high-volume global shipping. You will collaborate with Hardware, Systems, and Manufacturing teams to mission-critical firmware that enables the latest NAND technologies. Your goal is to optimize the manufacturing lifecycle, ensuring our proprietary enterprise storage solutions are delivered with industry-leading quality and performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Enable Production Readiness: Design and release firmware features—including FW load, NAND die communication, and PCIe resets—to support high-volume manufacturing milestones.
Architect Manufacturing Solutions: Develop embedded solutions within the firmware to transition complex DFM designs into scalable, efficient production processes.
Ensure Code Quality: Implement and test DFM firmware using C/C++ and Python, focusing on low-level hardware interfaces and media management.
Drive Automation: Build and maintain internal automation frameworks, including continuous integration and automated regression testing, to accelerate the release cycle.
Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with hardware and system software teams to perform hardware bring-up and debug system-level integration issues.
WHAT YOU BRING
Embedded Programming Expertise: Proficiency in C/C++ for low-level development and Python for automation and scripting within embedded environments.
Systems & Hardware Knowledge: Practical experience with SoC/micro-controller hardware bring-up and a solid understanding of NVMe or PCIe protocols.
Full-Cycle Firmware Delivery: A proven ability to navigate the firmware test and release process, from initial coding to production-level debugging.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Strong communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, translating complex technical requirements into functional firmware.
Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:
Innovation: We celebrate those who think critically, like a challenge, and aspire to be trailblazers.
Growth: We give you the space and support to grow along with us and to contribute to something meaningful. We have been named Fortune's Best Workplaces in Technology™, Fortune's Best Workplaces in the Bay Area™, and certified as a Great Place to Work®!
