About the role
About OpenAI
OpenAI is an AI research and deployment company committed to ensuring that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. We push the boundaries of AI capabilities while prioritizing safety, responsible deployment, and human needs. Our mission requires a team that represents a diversity of perspectives, voices, and experiences.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced APAC Partner Marketing Lead to build OpenAI's regional marketing strategy with priority strategic and ecosystem partners across Asia-Pacific. This is a senior marketing role focused on joint narratives, co-marketing programs, partner-led education, regional moments, and integrated activations with important technology partners.
The role works closely with Partnerships, partner-side marketing teams, and regional and global marketing stakeholders to turn strategic relationships into credible, high-quality programs for enterprise, developer, and startup audiences. It is not a commercial partnerships role; success depends on strong marketing judgment, alliance fluency, and the ability to align complex stakeholders around programs that create audience value and regional leverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead APAC partner marketing strategy for priority strategic technology, platform, and ecosystem partners.
- Build joint marketing plans across narratives, campaigns, events, education, customer proof, and regional activations.
- Partner closely with APAC and global Partnerships teams while owning marketing prioritization, program design, and execution quality.
- Coordinate with B2B, Developer, Startup, Content, Events, Product Marketing, Comms, and Country Marketing teams to activate the right audiences and channels.
- Develop scalable partner marketing playbooks, planning rhythms, briefs, review processes, and measurement frameworks.
- Represent APAC market needs and partner opportunities in global partner marketing planning.
- Manage partner-side and internal stakeholders with clarity around roles, decisions, approvals, timelines, and outcomes.
- Use program performance, partner feedback, and regional insight to refine the partner marketing roadmap over time.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in partner marketing, alliance marketing, ecosystem marketing, integrated B2B marketing, or a related discipline in technology.
- Proven track record building co-marketing programs with major technology, cloud, platform, or ecosystem partners.
- Strong understanding of how strategic partnerships translate into audience narratives, programs, channels, and measurable marketing outcomes.
- Experience influencing across companies, functions, cultures, and senior stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and execute pragmatically in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Strong cross-functional experience with Partnerships, Product Marketing, Sales or GTM, Content, Events, Comms, and regional marketing teams.
