The company is developing India's full-stack sovereign AI platform, building across research, models, infrastructure and applications with a singular focus on making AI genuinely work for India. Sarvam works with leading enterprises and public institutions and is backed by Lightspeed, Peak XV, and Khosla Ventures. About the Role

We're looking for product managers who are builders first — people who talk to customers constantly, ship real product to real users, and get into the details of how AI systems behave in production. This is not a role tied to one specific product line. Based on your strengths and interests, you could work across consumer AI products, enterprise platforms, developer tools, speech and voice systems, or edge deployments.

You have 3–7 years of product building experience, have shipped products at meaningful scale at strong B2C or B2B companies in India, and have real, hands-on familiarity with how AI products work under the hood.

What You'll Do

• Own a product area end-to-end — talk to users, write specs, define success metrics, ship, and measure outcomes

• Get into the details of how AI systems behave in production: prompt design, model selection, latency budgets, failure modes, and eval pipelines

• Write code, prompts, and copy when that's the fastest path to learning or validating an idea

• Set up funnels, write queries, and instrument events to diagnose what's working and what's broken

• Work directly with engineering, design, and leadership — no layers, no hand-offs

• Ship product every week, not plans

What We're Looking For

• 3–7 years of product management experience; you have shipped real products at meaningful scale at strong B2C or B2B companies in India

• Currently a product manager — this role is not for people transitioning from consulting, project management, or program management

• Hands-on familiarity with AI: you've built agents, understand how context windows work, and have thought through trade-offs like cost vs. latency vs. accuracy — experience with evals, tool calling, or agentic workflows is a strong plus

• Strong data skills: comfortable writing SQL, setting up funnels from scratch in PostHog, Mixpanel, or similar tools, and defining meaningful success metrics (not vanity numbers)

• Strong product thinking: you start with the customer's problem, talk to users regularly, can structure vague problem spaces, and ship v1 without over-engineering

• Systems thinker: you see the handshakes between components, the failure modes, and the dependencies when you look at a product

• High ownership, high agency: you don't wait for permission, you solve problems, and you've stayed up to fix something because you couldn't let it stay broken

• Clear communicator: you can explain complex technical concepts simply — to engin
