About the role
Join Vonage and help us innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide!
Vonage Engineering Mission: We embody the notion of what's next now!
We envision, develop and manage technology to connect the world.
Our team brings excellence, passion, creativity and curiosity to the job.
We look at the business environment and technologies in new and challenging ways, striving to develop and deliver integrated whole-system solutions to meet our customers' ever-changing needs.
Why this role matters:
We are looking for an analytical and experienced SDET to join our Business Applications Engineering team — someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality software at scale.
In this role, you will own the design and execution of end-to-end, integration, and API test strategies across cloud-based SaaS platforms. You will work hand-in-hand with developers, product managers, and scrum masters to embed quality throughout the SDLC — from requirements review to production. You will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, champion shift-left testing practices, and leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test development.
We are an enterprise corporation with the goal to revolutionize the way people communicate in the 21st century, and we are looking for the best people to join our winning team and help us make this vision a reality!
What will you do:
Develop, maintain, and execute functional test plans for application projects
Test run-the-business changes against acceptance criteria
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, product owners, and scrum masters to research and understand applications, review requirements, create test cases, design test plans, and report bugs via JIRA tickets
Utilize applications such as Okta, JIRA, AWS, and more
Document, track, and escalate issues to build effective relationships through partnerships and collaboration
Implement and take responsibility for end-to-end (E2E), integration, and API tests across individual components and full system flows
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Contribute to shift-left testing practices and quality engineering initiatives
Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test development
Support performance and reliability testing where applicable
What you will bring:
At least 4+ years of QA experience
Advantage — BS or BA in Business Operations, Computer Science, Information Services, or related discipline preferred
Experience running QA efforts for projects on integrated systems
Proven experience testing SaaS platforms in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)
Strong background in test automation — framework design, CI/CD integration, and automation strategy
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright / Cypress / Selenium / K6 / JMeter
Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins / Git
