Software Developer 4

Oracle is seeking Software Developers with 5+ years of experience to help build next-generation AI-native data systems within Oracle Database. The role focuses on transforming Oracle Database into a unified AI platform supporting semantic retrieval, vector search, hybrid query execution, object storage, and AI-powered data access directly near the data layer. Engineers will design high-performance retrieval primitives such as vector indexing, quantization, semantic joins, similarity-aware query planning, and scalable indexing for OLTP and streaming workloads. Responsibilities also include enabling AI retrieval across relational, JSON, graph, spatial, text, and lakehouse data sources like Apache Iceberg and object storage. Candidates should have strong expertise in database internals, distributed systems, indexing, query processing, concurrency, and low-level systems programming in C/C++. Experience with AI/ML, vector search, RAG, and enterprise database platforms is a strong advantage.
