Job Description: Senior Software Engineer (Node.js, Python, Cloud Native, Generative AI) - 8+ Years Experience from a Product Based IT Company.

Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Conversational AI team at LivePerson, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our AI-driven customer experiences. You will join the group responsible for our LLM Platform, Copilot products, and Knowledge AI services, bridging the gap between traditional automation and next-generation Generative AI.

You will serve as a technical leader and mentor for a small team of engineers, driving best practices in distributed systems and software architecture. Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & System Design: Own the design and implementation of critical backend components. You will build high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

Distributed Systems Engineering: Create reliable, scalable, and high-performance services. Your work will require a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems.

Complex Problem Solving: Expertly navigate complex systems and domains to identify key challenges and create plans to address them.

Lead by Example: Lead by example through the quality of your code and your approach to your work.

Operational Excellence: Debug production issues, maintain existing codebases, and ensure the stability of the platform. You will participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical services.

Team Growth: Level up the team through code review feedback and knowledge sharing sessions, and assist in the onboarding of new engineering hires.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
