Sr Database Administrator (DBA)

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with 6+ years of experience managing enterprise database environments across Azure, AWS, and on-premises infrastructure. The candidate will lead database administration activities, architecture planning, optimization initiatives, and cloud migration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage highly available database environments.

Lead database migration projects across cloud and on-premises platforms.

Manage SQL Server performance tuning and capacity planning.

Configure and maintain HA/DR solutions including Always On Availability Groups.

Establish database standards, governance, and security policies.

Automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell and automation tools.

Monitor database environments and proactively resolve issues.

Support audit, compliance, and security requirements.

Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical leadership.

Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.

Required Skills:

Strong SQL Server Administration experience (2016/2019/2022).

Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Azure Managed Instance, Azure VM.

Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, EC2, CloudWatch, and backup services.

Expertise in HA/DR, replication, clustering, and Always On.

Database performance tuning and query optimization.

Cloud migration and hybrid architecture experience.

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

PowerShell, T-SQL, and automation experience.

Preferred Skills:

Azure Administrator or Azure Database certifications.

AWS Database Specialty or equivalent certification.

Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring tools.

Exposure to multi-cloud database strategies.
